They don't call it "the most wonderful time of the year" for nothing! The time of the year when the mountains change their color to a white sheet of snow and winter gets harsh, Sun feels like a blessing & bonfire like a gift.

 

If you have adrenaline instinct and love to explore. Here is the time of year when you get a chance to celebrate New Year's Eve in Snow filled landscapes of Kinnaur Valley.

• Enjoy the flexibility of a private vehicle, the local knowledge of a passionate team, and the magic of camping under the great Northern sky, Overlanding-style.
• Immerse yourself in a world most people can only imagine, with its cattle stations and Mountain communities.
• This is a true Overlanding trip, and the journey is a big part of the experience. On some days of the trip, you will spend several hours driving, often through very sparse areas of the Himalayas.
• This trip requires a decent level of agility and stamina, as it involves a lot of driving, allowing you to get among nature. The Drive is particularly a bit challenging due to gravel roads and harsh snowy conditions.
• We try and ensure to get the best of the facilities for our guests still, we recommend carrying a sleeping bag with a -15 rating & a spare blanket. It comes in handy at times of natural calamity etc.
• If you feel you are an amateur driver for these conditions, relax we all have learned and we shall be by your side at all times.
• Winters are early this year so we would recommend carrying proper winter clothing with multiple layers & Snow Boots.

Expedition Itinerary:

28th December:- Welcome & Briefing at Theog.

29th December:-Theog to Kalpa. Enroute we enter the Kinnaur valley and its serene landscape

30th December:- Explore Kalpa & Reckong Peo ( If Covid restrictions are relived  we will try to drive till Nako & come back )

31st December:- Explore the Kalpa Surrounding & head to Rakcham & Chitkool . Let's Celebrate New Year's Eve Under Stars & layers of fresh snow.

1st January:- Start New Year! Enjoy the beautiful Landscape of  Rakcham & chitkul & head back to Theo & then Back home

We have a small convoy starting from Delhi on the 28th in the Early Morning. In case you traveling from any part of the country & transit via Delhi you may join us, will be a pleasure driving along.

All nights we shall provide you with rooms on a twin sharing basis ( cleaned & sanitized ), However Post Covid we suggest all our participants try & get their own & sleeping bags ( not mandatory ).
